Happy Patriots’ Day

Since we did the Battle of Lexington reenactment two weeks ago, we decide to sleep in this morning. Which still allowed us to be at the dentist’s office at 8:30am – such is the reality of baby time. But once we were home from Nathan’s first dentist appointment, it was a holiday. We played in the yard, puttered around the house and comforted a hot, teething, grumpy baby. When Nathan decided 30 minutes before the Lexington parade was to begin that he was finally going to take a nap, we thought we’d have to cancel our date to watch with the Squibix family. But thanks to parade delays (we blame the Bootmobile which did not in fact lead the parade but was somewhere in the middle) and a short 45 minute nap, we got to Lexington in time to see most of the fun. In other news, the 86 degree weather inspired us to spend $14 on sunblock, but we hear that’s not in fact the most expensive sunblock you can buy. Who knew?

Oh my goodness, that photo of the two babies is hilarious. Zion is all pointing like, the parade went by just over there!

And yes, I am shamed by my $21 baby sunblock.
