Happy New Year!

Nathan got into the spirit of things by staying up will 10:45 on new year's eve and sleeping in till 7:30 on new year's day.

In 2011 we welcomed an amazing little boy into the world and said goodbye to my grandmother. We went through the hardest thing I think we will ever experience in our lives and we've had amazing, fun wonderful times as well.

We could wish for a calmer 2012, but with Nathan in the house that's not going to happen. So instead we are looking forward to a year of fewer doctor's appointments and many first.

15th Day of Christmas

Well, Christmas has come and gone (and we’re well underway in 2012) so why not relive the magic?

Nathan had a very successful first Christmas. He did wonderfully on the 9 hour drive to Maryland (and wasn’t any grumpier than the rest of us on the 12 hour in pouring rain drive back). He loved opening presents and expressed appropriate appreciation for each one – playing with the toys, chewing on the books, chewing on the CDs, the DVDs, the socks, the ornaments… And for Christmas Round Two with Daddy’s family (also known as New Year’s Eve) he even did the cute baby playing with the boxes and bows thing.

With each gift that Nathan opened this past month I just thought, he is the best gift of all – I’m really glad we got to keep him.

11 months

Nathan is 11 months old today - hard to believe it's almost been a year.

And if the scale upstairs is to be believed, he weighs 20.5 lbs.

Happy 11 month old day Nathan!
