Witches Taking Roost
This year we are risking the witches - it's January 7th and the Christmas tree is still up.
Now that our usually deadline has come and gone, and we have relatively easy tree disposal (hide it in the studio woods until the Compost Center opens again) who knows how long it will stay up.
Historically the town tree pickup day (first Monday after January 1) has been enough to motivate us while still getting us through to Epiphany. But this year started out strange with our Christmas tree purchase on Black Friday, so who knows when this already extra long tree installation will end.
Pop Tune or Classical Tune?
Shouted from the room where they are listening to the radio:
"Mama, MAMA! We recognize a song!!"
I appreciate the enthusiasm, but this is not new - they always recognize a song.
Music is the Morning - Happy Birthday Mozart
In the morning, I often turn the radio in the boy's room on to help them wake up. As I spun the radio dial this morning:
"What are you looking for?"
"Mozart"
And I landed on WCRB just in time to hear Laura Carlo tell us today is Mozart's birthday and put on the overture to The Magic Flute.
Nathan was unimpressed. Liam slept through it.
