This Time Four Years Ago...

The game starts around dinner time.

"This time four years ago we had no idea we were about to meet our baby." And then, like clockwork, on the hour, 8:30pm - this time four years ago my water broke, 9:30pm - this time four years ago we got to Mount Auburn, 10:30 - this time four years ago they kicked us out to BI, 11:30pm - this time four years ago my parents decided not to listen to us and headed to the hospital, 12:30am - this time for years ago 29 week old Nathan arrived. And so Nathan's birth day begins.

So far, to celebrate Nathan turning FOUR we've made four desserts in two days, eaten four different kinds of fruit and have planned four birthday celebrations. Our good friend Amy may win most appropriate gift for the birthday boy AND his house with her gift of four strawberries, four single serving packages of gold fish, four packages of "gummies" (fruit snacks) and four quarters - four of Nathan's favorite things, none of which will take up space for very long in our apartment. And to add to the festivities (because how can desserts and fruits and parties be enough?) we have beautiful hand made birthday pennants from the wonderful ms Leah of the Squibix Family.

So that's what we've been up to. Outside of birthday stuff, Liam is figuring out sitting on his own, Nathan is a huge fan of writing the letter N, Tim is done working by 6:30 most nights, I'm wrapping up my new job to begin my new new job, and we cannot begin to wrap our heads around all these snow storms, but have come to adore our snow guys.

Fun in the snow

Nathan is playing "Beach" for the third day in a row - I think he's ready for a change.
