Thoughts after a summer of camping
We had two opportunities to sleep in a tent this summer! One night in Portland Maine enjoying friends Kate & Andy's back yard and then four nights in Bar Harbor just a week later with most of our Tuesday night dinner crew.
Often friends ask us about camping with kids as if we were camping experts. We are not - we just tag along with camping experts (thanks Tuesday night crew!). But I realize fact that we went from camping childless to camping with a 13 month old and 4.5 year old and have kept it up might be what's giving them the wrong impression...

9 Years
Sometimes our anniversary is spent throwing up or packing for a funeral. Sometimes we get sweet family photos. We may be inconsistent at doing something celebratory, but I can confidently say that 9 years in, we're getting better and better at doing life.
